Made by hands. Held to a standard.

CRFTBY is a community of people who believe the human side of craft is worth slowing down for. Every fingerprint pressed into clay, every brushstroke that wanders, every subtle imperfection is a record of a person’s hands, hours and choices. Here, those details are the point.

Mastery takes years of practice, patience and failed attempts. When you choose a handmade piece, you’re investing in that time and in the person who gave it. That’s the movement we’re building: people who appreciate the work behind the work, and put their time, energy and money toward it on purpose.

Our standards are what we hold most dearly. Everything we feature is original work made or designed by identifiable human artists and craftspeople. Clearly labeled reproductions of their original art are welcome. AI-generated artwork, resold factory goods and mass production presented as handmade are not.

What “Verified Human-Made” will require

1. The maker confirms their identity and control of their official studio account.
2. The maker describes the materials, tools, collaborators and production process.
3. Process photographs or comparable evidence are reviewed by a person.
4. The maker confirms that featured artwork is not AI-generated, identifies reproductions and grants image permission.
5. A review date and scope are recorded, with a route to report concerns.

No Verified Human-Made badges have been issued. The review program is being prepared. A future badge will describe the reviewed work and date; it will not guarantee every product forever. Payment will not buy verification.
